1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Laurentian Adventures, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Aurora, Minnesota, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Laurentian Adventures offers Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) rental experiences and related outdoor adventure services on Minnesota's Iron Range. Our services include but are not limited to self-guided UTV rentals, group and corporate events, and camping at the West Forty RV Park and Campground.

3. Eligibility

To operate a UTV through our service, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver's license
Sign our liability waiver and release form
Complete a mandatory safety briefing prior to departure
Not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during operation

Passengers must be at least the minimum age specified for the vehicle type. All minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.

4. Reservations & Payment

All reservations require a deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon check-in. Deposits are non-refundable within 48 hours of the scheduled reservation. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule reservations due to weather or unsafe trail conditions, in which case a full refund or reschedule will be offered.

5. Assumption of Risk

UTV riding and outdoor trail activities are inherently dangerous and carry risk of serious injury or death. By participating in our services, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to: rough terrain, vehicle rollover, collisions, wildlife encounters, and changing weather conditions. A separate Liability Waiver must be signed before participation.

6. Vehicle Use & Responsibility

You are responsible for the UTV during your rental period. This includes:

Operating the vehicle safely and in accordance with Minnesota law
Staying on designated trails at all times
Wearing required safety equipment including helmets and seatbelts
Reporting any damage or mechanical issues immediately
Returning the vehicle on time and in the condition it was received

You will be held financially responsible for any damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear and tear, including costs of repair or replacement.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Operating a UTV while impaired by alcohol or drugs
Reckless or aggressive driving
Leaving designated trails or entering private property
Exceeding the posted speed limits or vehicle capacity
Allowing unauthorized persons to operate the vehicle
Littering or damaging the natural environment

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your rental without refund and potential liability for damages.

8. Weather & Trail Conditions

Trail conditions are subject to change due to weather, seasonal variations, and maintenance. We reserve the right to modify trail routes, shorten experiences, or cancel rentals if conditions are deemed unsafe. Safety is our top priority, and our staff's decisions regarding trail conditions are final.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laurentian Adventures, LLC, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Laurentian Adventures, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of St. Louis County, Minnesota.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
